This is a precision air slit made from a stainless steel substrate with an outer diameter of 9.5mm (+0.025 -0.05mm). By scanning across the focus of the optical system, MTF and LSF can be calculated. It is also used as a slit for image analysis in spectrophotometers and for incident/emitted light in monochromators. The slit length is 3mm (common).
